Meet the Truck

Say hello to Louisa County’s recycling truck. The vehicle itself, is a rolling representation of recycling. This truck once served as a city garbage truck but has been upcycled to meet our needs. If you see your recycling being deposited into a garbage truck, do not be alarmed. This new system allows for a more streamlined pickup. It also means recyclables no longer need to be sorted for curbside pickup.
Best Recycling Practice
Recycling in Louisa County is simple and easy. Please be sure all items being recycled are clean. Discard caps from bottles, these are not recyclable. Cardboard should be free of any grease or food debris. Glass is not accepted in curbside pickup.
It is not necessary to use plastic bags to hold the recyclables. These bags are non-recyclable. Recyclables in trash bags will be left behind.
