Money order
The Treasurer’s Office accepts money orders as payment.
If you choose to mail your motor vehicle payment, please mail it early and use the envelope that is provided with your renewal notice. Also, be sure to affix the correct amount of postage on the envelope including extra postage for oversized and/or heavy envelopes. We cannot accept mail that has postage due. Mailed payments must have a U.S. Postal Service postmark dated on or before the due date to avoid a late interest.

The U.S. Postal Service postmark is the only date recognized for date of mailing. We do not accept the date written on your check or a business metered date as proof of the mailing date. Before mailing your payment, check with your local post office to make sure the postmark date will be prior to the interest and/or penalty date. If you want to be sure that your payment has a postmark before the interest and/or penalty date, have the post office postmark the envelope in your presence.

Payment Drop Box
Payments put in the county drop box must be placed in there before the interest expiration dates.
Payment drop box is located at back door on west side of the courthouse.
