Road Maintenance Superintendent
Louisa County Secondary Roads is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Road Maintenance Superintendent. This position will be a salaried position involving the supervision of County personnel involved in the maintenance, repair, and construction of the Louisa County Secondary Roads system. Applicants shall meet the following minimum qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Five years of progressive experience in road maintenance, construction, inspection, or equipment operation
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Iowa Class B CDL prior to starting date
- Live in Louisa County or willing to relocate shortly thereafter
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks

Temporary On-Call Truck Driver
Louisa County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Temporary On-Call Truck Driver. This is a temporary position intended to supplement regular county workers. Workers will generally work less than 20 hours per week and will be notified when duties are needed. Starting wage is $23.76 with no benefits.
Work will require physical labor, routine machine maintenance and the ability to work under adverse weather conditions. Job will report to one of the Secondary Roads Sheds. New hires will be required to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug screen. Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found at Louisa County Engineer’s Office. Louisa County is an EOE.
